Guy, a nearly 30-year Los Olivos resident, was appointed part-time General Manager in March 2022. In addition to his efforts with local youth sports organizations, as founding President for the Preservation of Los Olivos (POLO), he led fundraising efforts that ultimately resulted in Lavinia Campbell Park being set aside in perpetuity for Los Olivos’ use.

In Guy’s professional life, he spent time in both the private and public sectors. Since retiring from the County of San Luis Obispo in 2021, he has taken on a position as a part-time Adjunct Professor for the Orfalea Business School at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. While at the County, he served as the Assistant County Administrative Officer. In this role, Guy led annual budget development activities for the County’s $700 million operating budget and provided direct oversight to many of the County’s departments. His breadth of experience at the County includes strategic planning, oversight for groundwater related projects, development of the County’s Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) and managing the County’s Information Technology department.
